Internal Hemorrhoids
Internal hemorrhoid/hemorrhoids are swollen and inflamed veins around the anus or lower rectum. There are many groups of veins around the rectum and anus — one group of veins is known as internal hemorrhoidal veins, the other are known as external hemorrhoidal.
Internal hemorrhoids are mostly painless and have bleeding with bowel movements. When the hemorrhoid puts pressure on the hemorrhoid veins, they tend to break and blood will appear. Internal piles are found inside the anal canal, are covered mainly with mucous membrane, they are red or purple in color and painless. People can suffer from either internal or external hemorrhoids or piles, or a combination of both.
External Hemorrhoids
External hemorrhoids occur outside of the anal canal. Usually associated with pain, swelling and irritation, external piles often result in bleeding and itching. External hemorrhoids develop around the outside of the anus, most of the times you can feel it. One should definitely try to get rid of external hemorrhoids as you can suffer irritation, pain, swelling, itching and lot of other discomforts.
External hemorrhoids have to do with the veins that are found surrounding the anus. They are often very painful, since the skin near the area is quite sensitive.
The important thing is to drink lots of water together with a high fiber diet, which in turn ensures a softer stool so that the bleeding hemorrhoids are not pressed so much against the anal wall.
Hemorrhoids like many conditions can alter from person to person with no two cases ever being the same. However, there are a few indicators, which all hemorrhoid patients will experience.
Increasing fiber in your diet and drinking six to eight glasses of water result in softer, bulkier stools. A softer stool makes emptying the bowels easier and lessens the pressure on hemorrhoids caused by straining.
